2/21/10 Ramble

  1. This "no fried foods" thing is going horribly! I mean it. Do you know how much food is "fried"???
  2. Taking some production classes in the fall??? I want this camcorder.  So expensive but so worth it!
  3. Mint Condition concert in less than 2 months.
  4. Warren and I doing well on the Dave Ramsey thing. It's amazing what a little discipline and common sense can make in the area of finances. Read some success stories here.
  5. I'm pretty sure there are no "EX" shirts I can wear in good conscience. Probably why I still don't own one. Not knocking it, just sayin'. May do a blog post on this.
  6. Heard an EXCELLENT sermon at Providence Church this morning. Preached from Leviticus 10...the Nadab and Abihu incident. God is indeed merciful...yes "merciful," and yes both "mercy" and the gospel of Christ are in this passage....No eisegesis.
  7. Heard some bad news on Friday that had me more than a little heated for most of the weekend. There is major comfort in knowing God's hand guides all things.
  8. Why has it been nearly two weeks since I at least typed a ramble? I have two blog posts in the making though. Just working on some wording.
  9. My client may have two others to send me! She's sweet. So exciting. We'll see. Hustle hard. haha.
  10. Read 1984 last Saturday. It's officially still in the top ten books ever. Reading 100 Years of Solitude right now. So far, so good. Next on the list is The Help.
Catch you on the flip side.

  1. In terms of number 1, the same applies to me...just replace that with soda. :-( I'm convinced that it's a drug.

I would LOVE to see Mint Condition! Wish they came to the NYC.

I have a lil' grind to axe with the "Ex" T-shirts. I understand the concept behind them, but...

  2. Fried food is so yummy. I had some today. I think I need to go back to water only to balance my calories back out. I'm certain I've gained the 7lbs that I lost BACK, but I'm scared to get on the scale to confirm it.

Get on TicketMaster! Maybe they'll come within driving distance. We have to drive to Jacksonville, FL (3 hours away).

I really hate to say it, but I'm glad I'm not the only one ("Ex" shirts). I don't know if we have the same issue with them, but there is comfort in knowing I'm not the only one who sees an itty bitty issue with the shirts...

  3. Dig P4CM but I worry about folk who may stumble & fall into da sin they apparently ex-ed out. Will they be afraid admit that to someone?

  4. Certainly folks haven't be delivered from the things on their tees and have to combat the urge to do so daily. Also kind of bugged how them jawns have been getting too specific.

  5. I think we might have the same issues with the Ex-shirts. I might do a post on that on my blog.

I just noticed that I put "grind to axe" instead of "axe to grind". Lawd have mercy on my grammar...

  7. They've definitely gotten too specific. The "ex-masturbator" shirt is a bit much IMHO.

    Good point.

"I think we might have the same issues with the Ex-shirts. I might do a post on that on my blog."

Quite possible. I'll keep my eyes open should you choose to post on it. I will say that there are certain groups that it's almost off limits to critique. P4CM might be one of them...
